To Funky Town?
Lipps Inc hit it right with this song.
Probably the most effective mindset any person could adopt in today’s world is the art of moving on.
Between our drama infused media sources and our ultra-connectivity, it’s not hard for folks to allow themselves to get sucked into the vortex of paranoia.
Take a DEEP BREATH!
Unless it truly is an immediate life or death situation, we all serve ourselves (and others) best by practicing the PAUSE before reacting to someone else’s opinions.
Simply stop and think and do whatever research necessary to determine whether or not this issue is worthy of consuming our attention, then MOVE ON!
Move on might mean taking action on the issue itself. That is . . . deciding to be a part of the solution by engaging.
Move on also might mean that it’s a valid issue but not one that’s more important than the issues we are already tackling.
Whichever the case . . . move on . . . don’t let it stall your momentum WRT the important things and people in your life.
There’s no value in sitting still in obsession over what could or might happen . . .
“Worry is like a rocking chair: it gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere”
