Nashville’s East Side can be (IS) Eclectic by nature. That’s why most folks who feel compelled to live there “Check in and never check out.”

Two things that aren’t plentiful on the East Side are Garages and newer home construction. Sometimes, folks choose not to move to East Nashville because of trepidation about the maintenance that might go with owning a 100 year old house . . . and/or a wish for more “civilized” features (such as garages).
Also . . . WHEW! Even in this weird economy, prices of houses in East Nashville have continued to climb gradually, and it is frewquently heard amongst REALTORS that finding a great house over there under $300,000 is a veritable God-send.
