Who does your smartphone serve?

Why did you buy a smartphone?

Was it because it’s the cool thing to do, and you don’t want to be called a laggard?

Maybe you had a fit of “app envy” . . .

Did you think it would make YOU more efficient?

Did you buy it so more people could reach you more easily?

or . . . Did you buy it in a delusion moment of grandeur thinking that it would make you more productive so you can serve more people.

What’s the result?

Is your smartphone one of your productivity tools?

or . . .

Are you a slave of your smartphone?

Now that most people have them (smartphones), I think the smartpeople are the ones who “get” the real benefit owning that handheld bundle of joy . . . It’s for YOUR convenience . . . and NOT the convenience of others.

If you have one, and it’s being a distraction from doing more of what matters, throw the damn thing away.

If you have one, and it’s becoming other people’s tool to control your every moment – drop it in the toilet.

Think about it . . . Is that thing making your life easier or not?

If not . . . there’s only one person to blame . . . YOU!

You can serve OH-so-many more other people when that pocket computer begins to work for ya . . .

We all can’t wait for you to come back to the real world with us.

Just sayin’

Best,

b
