Published Real Estate Market Statistics are Old News

Everyone LOVES to talk about what the Real Estate Market is doing.

Most REALTORS will report that the very first question asked them by folks is:

“How’s the market?”

Odds are good that we REALTORS will offer analysis that will not jive/mesh well with what we all hear in the news.

It’s not that we’re trying to be difficult.

We aren’t a secret resistance against the news sources and data providers (MLS and REALTOR Associations local, state, and National).

We are the Real Estate Sales Professionals who are in the trenches day in and day out living and breathing and communing with our local real estate markets.

The statistics published to the media are old news based on closed sales that happened in the past . . . Deals that were negotiated and bound 45-90 days (or longer) earlier than the reporting.

The real estate market is a shape-shifter . . . always moving and fluid . . . What happened 45-90 days ago likely has very little bearing on what’s happening today.

As professionals, our livelihood depends on our knowledge of our respective markets.

We each have our finger on the pulse of our communities, cities, states, regions, and Nation . . . and we are always paying attention to the trends we notice locally as they relate to the larger market.

We do this because this is where our true value resides.

We are relentless students of our markets and all of the trends.

Our resolute goals are to shield our clients from harm as they navigate this complex transaction of Buying or selling a house.

Meet with this REALTOR to learn more about the local market relative to your wants and needs.

If things go well (you have high confidence that THIS REALTOR is the right REALTOR for you), establish an “Exclusive Representation with Designated Agency WRITTEN agreement.”


Some Home Buyers and Sellers feel the need to negotiate the Professional fees of REALTORS, yet they don’t bat an eyelash when it comes to paying other professionals (Attorneys, Doctors, Dentists, Veterinarians, etc).
