If the shoe doesn’t fit, Don’t wear it!
Practice the “Law of Two feet”: If at any time you find yourself in a place in which you are neither contributing nor receiving anything of value, then it is YOUR responsibility to use your 2 feet to take yourself to a place where you CAN contribute or receive something of value.
Don’t sit there being miserable . . . DO SOMETHING!
Most smart executives know that the most lucrative career path will likely require a change of organizations and probably a relocation to another city – even every 18-24 months.
Staying with the same company makes good sense if everything is good . . . and the future is bright . . . but not if it inhibits personal growth.
Doing the same things and expecting different results is insanity personified.
Just because it’s comfortable doesn’t mean it’s best.
All things to ponder as you pursue your passion . . .
PS – AHEM! All of the above applies to all aspects of your life. If where you are isn’t growing you and stretching you and helping you fulfill your dreams, it may be time to consider a change . . .
even if that change feels risky/uncomfortable . . .
and even if it means short term financial changes.
