and then just one thing tomorrow . . .
and so on and so on and so on and so on . . .
Every day, that one thing feels so insignificant, but it’s SOMETHING!
It’s more than nothing.
It represents forward motion albeit at a snail’s pace.
I’ll betcha a $MILLION you can think of a thousand (or more) things you think you “should” do today.
Here’s the trick question: “Can you think of ONE and ONLY ONE?”
At the end of the day when someone asks you what you accomplished today, you can proudly report you did THAT thing which you set out to do today.
I’m having fun with this line of thought especially as I consider how real it gets every morning when I walk into my new office and notice how much there is to do before it’s “THERE” . . . at that place of completion at which I am tickled pink to have folks drop in for a visit without any concern for their noticing of undones.
for the past 30 days, I’ve done one thing every day . . . TODAY, I noticed the transformation as if it happened while I slept last night.
It didn’t happen over night . . . It happened over time with thoughtful and diligent appropriate action.
This is how great things are built (and how they have always been built) – Just ask the pyramid builders.
So . . . now you know the secret to building a great career.
