Independence Day

While you’re partying and blowing up your neighborhood, don’t forget why . . .

Most folks know this day as “The Fourth of July” . . . and many of those may not give it a thought today the true significance of this day. After all, I googled “Independence Day” and 90% of the returns were links to MOVIES . . . Only one (Wiki) was embedded in that first page declaring: “a federal holidaycommemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by the Continental Congress declaring that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and no longer part of the British Empire.[1]” from Wiki.

Imagine how life might be different today if it weren’t for the vision and determination of our forefathers . . . who then went to work drafting a Constitution that would prevail 240 years (and counting).

For sure, today could very well also be coined “Thanksgiving Day” for we have SO much for which to be thankful on this day . . . most prominently . . . our FREEDOM!

So – enjoy the day!

Safely Execute your pyrotechnic displays with care!

Eat and be merry with friends and family.
