A house doesn’t have to be all “Pottery Barn” to be a great house.
We REALTORS often mention that a house has “Good Bones” (All about the Bass).
Maybe it’s “great dirt” (about the Bass) meaning the location overcomes any other shortfalls.
might be a “fixer-upper” or . . .
“a blank canvass ready for your personal touch” . . .
REALTORS are notorious for “fluffing” their listings to sound like they’re the Taj Mahal
The problem with this is that it has potential to create a great divide in trust between the general public and the average REALTOR.
Why not tell the truth?
After all, it IS “all about the the Basss.”
Say what’s right and and good about the property and don’t sugar-coat the warts.
“Smells like cat, but it’s in a great location with all new systems and is priced accordingly”
I look forward to seeing more authenticity (Bass) and less fluff (treble) . . .
eg . . . Truth in advertising!
