If you don’t exercise it, it’ll fall apart.
This rings true for just about anything:
Vacant houses develop leaks, mold, cracks and lose value faster than their less neglected and loved neighbors.
Brains lose thinking power if not stimulated/exercised with new ideas and possibilities through education and curiosity.
Friendships decay when we take them for granted and stop working on them.
Automobiles literally fall apart when not exercised – gaskets deteriorate, hoses crack, belts become brittle, engines gunk up as the oil becomes sludge over time.
Human bodies become more prone to illness – Heart and cardio-vascular issues, Cholesterol, low immunity to diseases (flu, virus, bacterial infection), arthritis in creaky joints, respiratory issues, excessive weight.
Businesses lose their edge as their competitors innovate to meet the ever changing demands of their customers.
It DOES take a lot of time and effort to keep up with exercising all these different aspects of our lives.
THIS is an effort worth our full commitment to intentional, consistent, and persistent exercise.
If you’ve got too much to maintain . . . maybe it’s time to consider having less?
If you’re too busy to exercise all of it, begin with exercising your brain such that you’re in the frame of mind to tend to your Spiritual, mental, social, and emotional well being . . . all of which will indubitably lead to more attention to the physical (your body).
Get THAT trinity (Spirit-Mind-Body) in goodness, and you’ll then be ready to prioritize the rest.
I can already see a difference in you for 2018.
Simply magnificent . . .
