Do you need justification for paying an Expert’s fee?

How many times do you need to LEARN this before you get it?

First lesson: If you have even a touch of dyslexia, think twice before you fire up that new chain saw and start cutting on that tree next to your house.

Second Lesson: If you don’t know how to do something, but you think you can figure it out, and it needs to be done, DON’T!

Call an expert!

I posted this video on my Facebook page, and one comment was: “Hope they have Stupid Insurance!” . . .

How often have we all been guilty?

Sure! Our “Honey-Do List” gives us lots of opportunities to practice a new trade. The big box Hardware Stores encourage us to buy the right tools, so we can be “professionals.”

We can be Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Lumberjacks . . . All we’ve gotta do is buy the right tools, and we’re hereby certifiably . . . CRAZY!

Seldom do these projects go well. Most result in multiple trips back to the hardware store for more advice and/or different tools and supplies.

Many of these projects end with a call to a REAL professional to come and fix the mess we’ve made (Undo the “work” we did) and then do it right. Of course, this ends up costing more in time, energy, and money than if we were to call a pro at the beginning.

We see this OFTEN in the world of Real Estate.

Some Home Buyer and Sellers think they don’t need the representation of a REALTOR. After all, how hard could Buying or Selling a house be?

It’s NOT Rocket Science.

So they go it alone, and many . . . soon find themselves in over their heads.

The painful part of this for me and other REALTORS is that a real estate transaction is a VERY complex thing . . . and involves CONTRACTS and Disclosures, and Inspections, and Appraisals . . . and often, by the time there’s a mess, it’s too late for us to undo what’s been done.

Many of these scenarios end up costing the “Do-it-yourselfer” WAY more than the cost of a REALTOR’s commission.

Something like dropping the tree on the roof of your house 🙂

My hope is that this serves as proper justification for calling a REALTOR BEFORE engaging in the process of buying or selling a house.

I, and my team of Vital Few REALTORS at Pareto Realty stand poised and ready to serve Home Buyers and Sellers in Middle Tennessee. We hope you’ll connect with us if you’re contemplating a move now or in the future. If you’re not in TN, engage your LOCAL Real Estate Professional.
