Yes! Even REALTORS deserve a break on Labor Day!

Paul Harvey (RIP) Gets it!

Labor Day “is a celebration of the American labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country.” From Wikipedia

While I’m certain that many people have the opinion that Real Estate Sales Professionals sit around the house most days eating bon-bons and watching soaps, I know that’s uninformed and perhaps a tad delusional.

Historically, we REALTORS have not necessarily done ourselves justice in this regard. Most of us drive fancy cars and put on airs that life is all good and HAPPY all of the time. We brag about the MILLIONS of dollars worth of houses we sell, and most of us claim to be “#1” in our market.

We’re the life of most parties, and those who don’t know us intimately readily jump to the conclusion that our lives are easy and our income is stratospheric.

Guess what?

REALTORS WORK!

This video does a marvelous job of busting this myth

So . . . Your REALTOR deserves a Labor Day vacation this weekend.

Give him/her a call this week and affirm your appreciation for all they do for you and others and assure them that you will not be asking them to work this weekend.

Have a fabulous Labor Day Weekend yourself as you celebrate YOUR contributions to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Your work MATTERS!

Best,

b
