Monday Morning Coffee – What matters?

What Matters?” evokes myriad answers and the possibility of very deep thoughts in a world in which we often find ourselves absorbed with more of the shallow stuff that doesn’t.

I believe it begins with: “where we want to go

What’s your “theme” at this point in your life?

What is it for which you have sufficient passion to take responsibility by mobilizing yourself (and others) into appropriate ACTION?

That’s what matters first . . .

and there are plenty of folks who will tell you that it’s not the destination that matters most – It’s the JOURNEY! I would agree that the Journey is important because it’s during this journey that we learn and grow . . . but without a destination/theme . . . it’s simply a “meandering”

So . . . What matters most is a direction . . . and azimuth . . . something towards which you travel.

Many people want something different but feel “stuck” and use that as their reason for staying put.

The way to get unstuck is to start down the wrong path, right now.” Seth Godin

Seth’s right! Quit worrying about choosing the “right” path . . . just get yourself MOVING towards that destination.

If you’re not moving – Well – You’re sitting still!

Now that you know where you want to go, what matters?

INVITE others who share your passion along for the journey.

Whoever comes (shows up) will be the right people

Whatever happens will be the only thing that could have

Wherever it happens will be the right place

Whenever it starts is the right time

When it’s over, it’s over (hopefully you’ll be “there”)

The subtle “trick” to maintaining focus on the stuff that matters is the fine art of “Letting go” of all of the stuff that DOESN’T matter.

Subscribe to the Law of 2 Feet: If at any time you find yourself in a place where you are neither giving nor receiving anything of value, it is YOUR responsibility to use your feet to take yourself to a place where you can contribute and/or receive something of value . . . be useful.

These principles come from age-old wisdom described in Open Space Technology . . . and I use them for daily guidance . . . and in my work with Home Buyers and Sellers and local REALTORS.

Each transaction is a journey which begins with an end in mind (what matters most). Our entire effort centers around the goals of the CLIENT.

These principles are the foundation of The Life Rhythm Way which offers a simple way of living for virtually all people (regardless of Profession) to develop their own personal rhythm of their personal and professional lives.

I “practice” this Life Rhythm Way in my own life daily as I work with home Buying and Selling clients and am available for speaking, workshops, and retreats.

Keep on moving!

🙂
